School Show

Our first school show took place just before St. Patrick's day this year. There were three productions

of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

This was a great show. Instead of Snow White and Seven Dwarfs we had Snow White and Seven Jockeys. The fairy tale depends on some of our main characters gambling to become millionaires.

The children of P.7 were great. This show covered areas of the curriculum in a different way. Teachers, pupils and parents worked their fingers to the bone to bring us an amazing stage production. We were able to supply our own lighting system, sound system and school band. A small, sweet P.5/6 school choir helped the cast by adding their own brand of voice to the show.

Below are some pictures of the show.

It was great fun but there were times when we thought that the show might just not come together.

The stage lights kept fusing and going off. We finally solved the problem by taking a bulb out of the light causing the difficulty and crossed fingers for three nights. The Curtains were put up one week before the show. At 7:00 with half an hour to go the winding mechanism for the main curtains was being fitted. However, the show did go on without a hitch and it was all worthwhile.
