The Athletics Club (A History).
The Athletics Club really started back in 2005/2006. We entered a team for a one off cross country challenge. We had no idea how this would work but had a go anyway. This was just a trial year. It set the pace for years to come.

This was folowed by an entry to the Ironkids Duathlon. We have always encouraged entrancts for this race but this year we were a little more organised. Mrs Tracey Kelly looked after the team and of course they all received medals.

2006/2007
Well this year we decided to start up an athletics club. In our survey to parents on how we should use some of the money for extended schools fund the majority of responses indicated that we should start up another sports club. Mrs Tracey Kelly is a qualified athletics coach so she volunteered. The club however, was so popular that it could not be run on a single day and safely. It had to be split into two (Mondays & Wednesdays).
How are we doing? Read on.
