On Thursday 14th June2001 in the North West Schools' Swimming Championship Gala the boys and girls of St. Eithne's came away with medals galore and a Swimming Trophy. The Boys Under 11 Team won the Under 11 Boys' TrophyThey were first place in the Medley Relay and 2nd place in the Freestyle Relay. Conor came first in the under 11 Butterfly event. Tom came first in the Under 11 Backstroke. Well done on winning the first inter-school trophy for St. Eithne's. The girls under 11 team came third in the Medley Relay whilst Danielle C., Dearbhla C., Nicole C., Jessica S.. Danielle also came third in the Under 11 Butterfly event. |

In this year the swimming team came back into their own in the Area Championships held on Saturday 1st Oct 2005. The Boys Age Group 2 team (Quentin, Ruaidhri, Sean & Matthew) won the medley relay and came second in the freestyle relay. The girls group 2 team (Sorcha, Danielle, Jessica & Karen) came third in the freestyle relay. Quentin won a gold in the breaststroke. A number of medals were won at the North West Gala. |

This was another great year for the team with every member winning at least one medal. We had to take this quick photo in the staff room the day before the Primary 7 children left the school. |

The Medley Relay team came First and the Freestyle relay came in second. Harry came in second in the backstroke and Paul 3rd in breaststroke. Finally Dean came in third in the Butterfly. Well done Boys! The last time we won this trophy was back in 2001. |
