School Council (2010/2011) |
|
- This year we staged the School Show "Hansel & Gretel".
- The school won the Credit Union Poster Competition again!
- The Soccer Team won the Derry Schools' Soccer League.
- The Boys' Soccer 7's won the Derry Section of the IFA competition.(Girls were runners up)
- The Cookery Team won the Mini-Chef Finals in The Ulster University.
- 78 P.6 & 7 children went to Gartan in the first week in July.
- All children who entered for music grades passed with flying colours.
- St. Eithne's won the "Investor's In People Award" for a second time.
- A week in November saw terrible snow

- The Playgrounds got a make over with basketball nets, football nets, sprint tracks and long distance running tracks.
- Mathletics was introduced to the P. 5 to 7 children. .
- The Accelerated Reading programme was extended to P.5 & 6 year groups.
- 14 Primary 7 pupil(Girls & Boys) went through an "Angling Course" which was completed with a fishing trip to Diver's Pond.
- The Under 11 Boys Swimming Team won the trophy at the North West Gala.
- MrsMc Gonagle retired.

Our Soccer Team won the Derry Schools' League.
This is our first team to win the Derry Large Schools' Soccer League. Well done Boys and Rachael. |

- Annual School Show.... " Hansel & Gretel".
Hansel & Gretel was our tenth school show and it was another brilliant success. Well done to the staff for all the great work. Special congratulations to the children of Primary 7. They were incredible. This is a show put on by all our Primary Seven pupils as part of their educational development and for pure good fun. See photos of the show! What an experience for all!

| Rickety Wheel Bazaar |
|
The Rickety Wheel Bazaar is an annual fund raising event which has also become a community social event. Every year we raise over £2000 clear for school funds. An amazing Santa Claus Grotto is set up by our Parents Association to welcome Santa Claus.
