Parents of Primary 1 & 2 children may leave them in the classroom at 8:45a.m. when a teacher or assistant is on hand to supervise them.  Pupils enter the classes around the back of the school for security and so that the front door does not become an easy access for anyone intent on malicious damage or hurt.  On dry days P.3 to 7 children go to the playgrounds where teachers will be on duty but on wet days these children will line up in the hall.

Health Promoting School

At St. Eithne's we encourage our children to have respect for the environment and to lead a healthy lifestyle. At breaktime all the children can receive milk and fruit. At lunch time groups of children volunteer to do a litter pick up and many of our extra curricular clubs promote exercise amongst our children. In fact, befor school and at lunchtime pupils jog around the school building up their altletics miles.
