Josephine's Cat

Nicole used to recite this little poem about her sister Josephine's cat on the playground. She has moved on to secondary school now. Perhaps she would consider sending us a another poem from the big school.

When I Think of Autumn.

By Megan

When I Think Of Autumn I Think Of…

Hibernating hedgehogs
Crispy, brown leaves
Dark, dark mornings
Very early nights
With long black tights
Trees with big brown trunks
With very tired skunks
Ripe fruits
With my black boots
Winds that are strong
Orchards will last all year long
Fireworks you can hear them blast

------
Oh I wish autumn would last.

Blathnaid's Self-Portrait                                 The Best Mum in Derry

This is a self portrait by Blatnaid. (P.5)

The Best Mum In Derry

My mum has big, bright, blue eyes she's called
Dolores. She's kind and clever because if I get stuck at my homework she's always there to help me. My mum likes to clean every day she has the house spick and span.
She does not wear jewellery that much but when she does she wears this beautiful locket, inside there is a picture of me and my little sister Hannah. Her lips are as red as a rose and she has a heart of gold. Her fingers have
beautiful rings on them her favourite is her wedding ring. It is my favourite too. She wears jumpers and black trousers with trainers.

My mum is the best mum in the
World.

If I Won the Lotto                                                       Waterworld

If I won the lotto

If I won the lotto
The first thing I would do
Is celebrate by bringing the whole Street to
The bowling Alley.

I would buy a sweet shop, Smyth's and a motor bike
I would buy these because
I would get lots of toys
and sweets.
Of course I would move
Because I want a house with a swimming pool and a bowling alley.
I would go on holiday to Texas.
It is very warm there.
I know because I went last year.
I'll go again with
My
Mum, Dad, Granny and Granda.
If I won the lotto.

By Paula (P.5)

At the end of last year on , June 19th, our class went to Water world. We went with the other P4 classes.
Before we jumped into the water we had to travel by bus. I did not like travelling on the bus. I hate travelling.
It took us over an hour to get there.
We got there we got changed and the ran into the water. I enjoyed all the things in Water world especially the big slide. I did not like queuing up for the slide.
I also enjoyed the water guns. I shot water at people I did not know.
When we got out of the pool I was starving. I ate a chicken stuffing muffin, crisps, sweets and a Fruit shoot drink.
After the long journey home I was tired and I felt a bit sick because of all the swimming but I still enjoyed the trip.
