World Mental Health Day 2019

8th Oct 2019

World Mental Health Day, this Thursday 10th October 2019 is a day for global mental health education, awareness and advocacy against social stigma. It was first celebrated in 1992 at the initiative of the World Federation for Mental Health, a global mental health organization with members and contacts in more than 150 countries. On this day, each October, thousands of supporters come to celebrate this annual awareness program to bring attention to mental illness and its major effects on peoples' life worldwide. The theme this year is Mental Health Promotion and Suicide Prevention, issues which are directly involving our local community at present. This year marks our schools’ inaugural year of involvement in this initiative and all children from Primary 3 to Primary 7 will be provided with a variety of learning experiences surrounding Mental Health and Wellbeing. Remember that as a school we are here to support our children, but also you the parents, guardians and members of our wider school community. Keep sight of our school social media platforms to see what we have been up to.
